ST. THOMAS christians of kerala were brought to faith by st thomas the apostle .Later ,they joined hands with the chaldian church of the east.They were called "Mar thoma nasranikal" which means st.thomas christians.
They were led by chaldian bishops til 15nth century.They had great oriental liturgy and heritage.But after the arrival of the portugeese they became compleatly 'latinised'.fore fathers of St.Thomas christians worked hard to bring back their culture and heritage and as a result the syro malabar and syro malankara churches were formed
